running in the rain ... bondi bands ... running camp

1) Ugh, we've had beautiful weather with temps about 20+ degrees above normal this week. A great week for the kids to be home on spring break.

Tomorrow, hubby and I are dropping the kids off at my parents early to run a 10 mile race (the one that was only $5!!). And, the forecast is rain and a high of 50 degrees. Not sure what the morning brings. We shall see. Perhaps I will run faster, just to get my soppy-self to the finish line?!?!?

2) For those of you commenting on all of my fabulous Bondi Bands and wanting to snag one for yourself .... The beautiful Katye from Long Legs on the Loose here is offering you some stylish Bondi Bands via her fundraiser for Leukemia and Lyphoma Society. Check out her blog for details. She's also offering a great Running Skirts giveaway. Check it out!

3) I received an email this week from We Run 2 Win. Check out their website here. Please let them know that Running Diva Mom has sent you ... :-)

They've organized an adult running camp that will take place this July in Vermont. Runners of all experience levels are invited to camp. Elite coaches are not just for elite athletes. By signing up for our camp you will receive four months of elite coaching and one session of phenomenal camp experience. Workouts will be tailored to each individual. You will complete a questionnaire and an evaluation form that must be sent back to us not less than two months before camp. Our commitment to you includes a daily training schedule for the two months before and two months after camp. Throughout these months, one of our coaches will review your training log weekly and make recommendations by e-mail. YOU will schedule a race at your ideal distance no longer than two months after camp and we are confident that you will report a Peak Performance. WeRun2Win will sponsor a college scholarship fund with a portion of the camp proceeds.

  1. GL on your race today! I can't wait to read about it.

VT is a beautiful place to run, but like always I'm not going to the camp.

  2. Good luck on the race! Right before the Disney half, I did a 5k in 40-some degree temps and driving rain. I know you're running MUCH farther, but hang in! You'll do great!!!
