Another Marathon for 2010 -- Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon

So, hubby just emailed me and said that the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon is almost full and was wondering if I finally wanted to commit to running this race together. On a whim, I said yes. So, I'm signed up for my second 26.2 of 2010. First is May 30th in Madison. Second will be October 3rd in Milwaukee. It will be nice to have hubby training for the same event. Hopefully we'll be able to hit the grandparents up for some Sunday morning babysitting this summer, so that we can pound out those 20 mile training runs together?!?!?!?!?!

  4. I can not tell you how much I admire people who commit to training for a marathon, let alone 2! Crazy! This became more true to me last night after running my first 14 miler, and I swear, I don't think I could ever in my life run 12 more continuous miles! Good luck in your training, and it is so cool that you and the hubby can do it together...I would love it if my hubby liked to run, but nope, he is not a runner AT ALL!!!!!

  6. Congrats on signing up for the Milwaukee marathon:) That actually sounds like a great stand by if Chicago doesn't pan out. How much time do you think that I have before it is full? I live in Minnesota and it would be about a five and a half hour drive...totally doable:) Let me know what you think.

This is exciting news! Have a great weekend!

  11. OK - that is really exciting, especially because you get to train with your hubby. I have only run one marathon and always wanted to run another one - I had thought about the Milwaukee Lakefront - but I really don't think I can commit to the training. yikes!!!! - go for it girl.
I am soooo looking forward to meeting up with you on Wed. for a run - the weather looks great!!!!

  12. My husband and I trained together for my first marathon about 9 years ago and it was great! It was before kids so we had more time to do so. Not having a regular babysitter for the kids would make training for a marathon now pretty difficult. The best of luck to your duo training...you two rock!
