Kids ‘N’ Caboodle Shoes Product Review & Giveaway

Yes, I love shoes! I even collect miniature shoes. I have bins of flip-flops and baskets full of heels. Little Diva and Little Dude also have several bins to store their shoe collections. I have a problem.

Unfortunately, most of our shoes aren’t practical. I’m sure this doesn’t shock you! I recall when Little Diva was an infant, I would stuff her chubby feet into patent leather boots and fuzzy, leopard print mary janes. Probably not the most comfortable option for a six week old!! Her daycare teacher use to ask me to leave her in socks or to buy her more appropriate footwear so that she could learn to walk comfortably. I did not listen. Though, she was probably correct. Fortunately, I do NOT try to stuff Little Dude’s feet in the same animal print numbers!!

I was thrilled when Kids 'N' Caboodle (HERE) was interested in sending Little Dude a custom pair of their Soft Soul shoes (HERE).

Kids ‘N’ Caboodle’s founder is a former elementary and nursery school teacher. She owned a successful children’s retail store for over 22 years. While a merchandise buyer for the store, she enjoyed finding unique, adorable, and affordable baby gifts for her customers to select. Now with the onset of her online shop, she has searched for special, personalized, handcrafted baby shoes and booties. She has chosen suppliers whose products are of excellent quality, have GREAT product reviews from current customers, and above all have EXCELLENT customer care reports.

I LOVE customization and personalization. Personalized shoes for my kids?! Sign me up! It was fun to pick a style and color combination that would work with Little Dude’s personality and his awesome wardrobe. You get to choose the colors, fonts and style for the child.

Little Dude is sporting the SoftSoul shoes (two-tone in the black/wheat color combination). He is coming up on his third birthday and typically wears a size 9 tennis shoe. He fits into the size 3-4 years comfortably. The font I chose was “Mia”.

Kids ‘N’ Caboodle currently offers three unique baby shoe lines:

Crochet Kisses – Handmade shoes that kiss little feet.
Bouges – Personalized, handcrafted soft-leather baby sheos
SoftSoul – Personalized handcrafted, soft sole, leather baby shoes that you design

About SoftSoul shoes:

Soft, high quality leather, hand cut, sewn and embroidered, soft sole baby shoes. You choose ankle color, shoe color, font, font color, size and child’s name. Created by leather-craft artists from Canada who have worked with the finest leathers for over 20 years. The soles are made with textured suede to make them skid resistant.

There are six sizes available, from 0-6 months to 3-4 years. The website even has a nifty tool to help you determine the appropriate shoe size. There are also approximately a dozen colors to choose from. Go as girly or boyish as you want!

Little Dude Tested:

The SoftSouls were perfect for running around the house and around the yard. We even ventured to the playground. It had rained that morning and the shoes held up well in the wet woodchips, pavement and grass. I also had just scrubbed my hardwood floors that morning and Little Dude followed me around without slipping or skidding. These were perfect for playing around the house (just like slippers!) and bumming around at the library together, too.

These would have been perfect for Little Dude when he was an even littler dude. They are perfect for new walkers. They can feel the ground under their feet, instead of a hard rubber sole. Little Dude mentioned he could feel the wood chips under his feet -- but they didn't bother him or keep him from playing at the playground!

These personalized shoes are perfect for baby gifts, showers, first birthdays, christenings, portraits, ornaments, memory box keepsakes, and more....
