Well, the treadmill has died (more on that later) and Little Diva is back in school. So, Little Dude and I are enjoying our first "mommy day" together, just the two of us.
Since I can't use the treadmill and we recently cancelled our YMCA membership for time-being. After breakfast, blogging and putting some puzzles together, Little Dude and I headed outside for a few miles.
OMG -- on Sunday it was 90 degrees. Today is a frigid high of 63 degrees today ... and WINDY (holy windy!).
The return of our runs together, also means the return of his little red car. He loves that thing. We ran two miles down to the playground and then another three mile journey back home. We returned home and a neighbor asked me what I did with Little Dude while I was running this morning. And I told her he sat in that car for almost an hour. She couldn't believe it. YOU wouldn't believe it either, if you knew Little Dude. The kid never sits still and is constantly in to everything. But, in his little red car, he just chills and takes it all in. The good little guy even puts his snack wrappers away and opens up the car's lid to prevent littering.
Good Little Dude better be just as angelic getting his haircut this afternoon and not make a scene at the library either!!

Boys go through the funniest smile stages. My boy is at the "My eyebrows need to be up" stage right now.

He's so stinkin cute! That very car was a huge hit around here for a looong time! Isn't this weather divine?
ReplyDeleteYour little boy is soooo adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable! And yeah that he sits in his car so you can run. Mine is now too big for any type of running stroller, yet too little to stay home alone.
ReplyDeletewhat a cutie!!
ReplyDeleteadorable!
ReplyDeletehe is so cute! love those chubby cheeks :)
ReplyDeleteI give you huge props if your windy day was anything like mine. I'm only an hour and half northeast of you. The wind was gusting so strongly that I could not imagine running in this. I feel for you not having the treadmill with the WI winter around the corner!
ReplyDeleteAnd your little dude is so darn cute! Love the cheesy smile.
So cute! Yay for Mommy Days!!
ReplyDeleteHe has such a cute smile! Aw!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day.
cute pictures. That's the thing about the second child: when the first one is away, the time alone with the second becomes that much more precious. Mine realizes that too and now loves it when Big Brother is gone, leaving the two of us alone.
ReplyDeleteHe is SO CUTE! Is he as ornery as he looks, though? You should let him sit in his car while he gets his hair cut!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big runner too although it's been hard to find time for it with the girls home this summer. When I run they glide along side me on their razors. It works pretty good! I'm looking forward to getting back to running!
ReplyDeleteHe is so sweet! Glad he sits so still for you on that little red car, and glad that car is hanging in there!
ReplyDeleteJamie...have you ever run the Henry Vilas Zoo Run Run? I'm thinking about running it but wanted to hear what it was like.
