I'm a List-Maker ...

I love summer and hate to see it end. But, I do love fall, too. I love pumpkin shakes from Culver's, pumpkin lattes from Starbuck's and burning pumpkin pie candles in my kitchen.

I am in LOVE with Honeycrisp apples ... well worth the $2.99/lb at the grocery store last week. I can't wait to head to an apple orchard with the kids next weekend and pick up some more. Fresh.

I've been reading so much about Chobani greek yogurts lately. We've been indulging in it on-and-off for the past month. It's a little hefty on the wallet, but a nice treat. I love the strawberry and pomegranate flavors best. Thick and creamy. Filling, too.

BTW, I picked up a set of four of these adorable dishes from Savers last week, during my thrift store run ... only $0.49 a plate!

I'm a list maker. I've become even more of a list maker ever since I became a mom. Maybe we have too much going on. Maybe it's because I forget things now. Maybe it's because I get satisfaction about seeing how much I've accomplished. And, maybe sometimes I add things to my list that I've already done -- just so that I can cross off more!!!

Some projects have been put off until Little Diva was back in school and the weather turned cold. I didn't want to waste our time indoors ... cleaning and organizing. Sad, but true.

Little Dude loves to "help me" around the house. He also has become pretty good at entertaining himself now and playing with his toys ... or Little Diva's toys when she's not here to fight about it!

I feel pretty good about what I've accomplished over the past five hours with Little Dude. The only thing left to do is ... RUN.

For those that may think that we "obsessed runners" have our blinders on, to all of the other priorities in our lives ... wrong. Running made my list, but came up last on the things to be crossed off.

Running is a priority, but is not always THE priority. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

  1. work, then either boot camp or power mix workout at the Y :)
    I'm looking forward to my workout tonight, but more than that I'm looking forward to time with my son...even if it is like pulling teeth to get him to do his homework :)

  2. I'm at work right now, then 3 hours at the gym, give medicine to my kittens, fix dinner, blog and by that time it should be midnight and hubby should be home where we watch a couple of shows before bed (about 2am). Them I re-start my day at 7am the next morning.

  3. I am so going to forward this to my husband today! He gives me so much grief over all the lists of mine that he finds around the house! And I alwasy reassure him that I have lots of little things to remember throughout the day and running isn't always the first on my list! Thanks for being my backup! :)

  5. I am such a list maker to. I got a walk in today and the rest of the day was consumed by classes, homework, and grading lab reports. Fun. :-)

  6. do you have costco nearby? ours has a chobani variety pack that ends up costing about $1 each per 6 oz serving. the drawback is that it comes with a set mix of flavors (blueberry, peach, strawberry) which isn't my favorite (i personally don't care for strawberry, wish it had vanilla instead) but the price is right!

  11. Too many things on my list that didn't get crossed off today...but I did get a nice 4 mile walk in on the treadmill tonight :)!

    I make lists too...I always have a list somewhere with things I have to do...Now I just have to get better about getting them done so I can cross them off!

  13. I'm a list person too! Sometimes I have more than one list going on at the same time! I know though, that if I don't write it down, I'll either forget about it or it won't get done.

  14. I started my day off with a run. Sometimes that's just what I need for a good jump start to the day. LOVE LOVE LOVE LISTS!

    I like how you stated running is a priority, but not THE priority. So true!

  15. Off to work and school from 9am-8pm! Running won't happen for me today until after 8. :c Bummer. I agree with you in that it's a priority but sometimes it just doesn't make the list for the day.
