Healed Foot Cream Product Review & Giveaway

If you’ve browsed through the pages of Runner’s World, Women’s Health or Oxygen Magazines, you may have seen organic creams and balms from Healed (HERE). Healed offers uniquely natural products that nourish, protect and soothe dry, damaged and stressed skin.

About Healed:
Healed has been developed by Melbourne based podiatrist, Anna Beetham, who after eight years working and specialising in sports podiatry, recognized a growing need from her patients for more natural products. Patients wanted natural products that worked. So began an intensive period of research and development to create the products that now form the Healed range.
For the past six years Anna has volunteered for Oxfam to coordinate the podiatry coverage of the Oxfam 100km Trailwalker event. As part of this role Anna presents lectures to increase foot care awareness and also treats participants during and in the lead up to the annual Trailwalker event. While seeing hundreds of sports people including walkers, runners and triathletes in her clinics the need for natural products to help prevent blisters, heal dry or cracked heels and protect dry, damaged and stressed skin became apparent. Healed Products are aimed at preventing and treating these problems, often the biggest cause of drop out from the grueling 100km event.

Each product has been carefully researched and formulated with the help of in-the-field experts to meet the needs of active people. Healed prides itself on the continued research and development of all its products.

Healed products use the finest natural ingredients, chosen for their purity, effectiveness and skin friendly compatibility. Healed products are formulated with sufficient concentration of ingredients to have a significant positive effect. They are free from objectionable impurities and toxic preservatives. Stringent testing ensures stability of product quality and safety

No Parabens, propylene glycol, sulfates or petrochemicals
No mineral oils

I was lucky enough to try the following products:

Healed Sole Food - Foot Balm - Intensive treatment for dry skin & cracked heels - A non-greasy formulation that maintains the skin's moisture while regenerating it naturally. Healed Sole Food's unique formula optimises skin health without the use of urea, lactic acid or harsh chemicals that strip the skin of valuable oils. This balm not only works, it has a simply divine feel on the skin.

Healed Skin Protect - Anti-chafing balm- Protection against chafing, blisters & nappy rash - One of a kind effective protection and relief from the irritation and rubbing caused from clothing, footwear and equipment. Skin Protect is also ideal for soothing irritated skin, nappy rash, insect bites, chapped lips and cracked cuticles. It contains NO petroleum or silicone and is a completely natural anti-chafing balm. You can be confident using Healed Skin Protect knowing that you will not only be nourishing and soothing your skin but also protecting it from friction without the toxic build up that occurs with other chemically laden products. Healed Skin Protect is easily applied with a portable, small and hygienic stick applicator.

My husband constantly complains about my nasty feet. This was even before I became a runner. I love to wear flip flops and sandals and walk around the yard barefoot. My feet take a beating. My heels become hard and cracked. The bottom of my big toes do the same. I applied this cream (foot balm)to my feet before bed four nights in a row. I rubbed in the moisture until my feet were covered from top to bottom. I did not wear socks to bed to contain the moisture. My feet have been gradually getting softer and my heels have not been as dry. The flaky skin on the tips of my toes is still there, but has been reduced. Hey people, I ran 150+ miles last month. This isn’t a “miracle cream”!!!

I used the chafing balm on my inner thighs. It worked very similarly to Body Glide. The tube applicator is a nice, no-mess, no-fuss way to apply it to my legs. It was not sticky or tacky. The tube is a lot smaller (not as wide) than Body Glide. That would be my only complaint. It simply takes a few more moments to apply. I did not apply this to my feet when I went on the gruesome 20 miler on Sunday. I wish I would have, because my feet came back covered in blisters again. I did apply this to my feet the next day and my blisters were not irritated by my socks or shoes. In fact, my blisters have callused over and are not longer bothering me. I will use this on my feet again … definitely for my long runs, when I seem to have problems with blisters on my bunions. Do you use chafing balm on your feet?!? I usually do not.

Healed also sells:

Healed Foot File - Used in conjunction with Healed Sole Food the Healed Foot File helps to reduce the buildup of dry, thickened skin on your heels and feet. For best results use prior to getting into the shower and apply Healed Sole Food after getting out of the shower.

Healed Blister Pack - These handy and unique Blister Packs have everything you need to prevent or treat those nasty blisters. Each pack includes the most clinically effective dressings, hypoallergenic tape, antiseptic, gloves, saline, Healed Skin Protect & more. Plus vital information on preventative taping & treating blisters; saving you time, money and frustration!

  1. I'm interested in that chaffing balm. I LOVE body glide (and do use it on my feet) so it would be nice to try another brand as well.

  14. I would love to try the anti-chafing balm. But what I think is most fabulous, is the all natural ingredients. We are being forced to learn about chemical sensitivity in our house and are working on reducing them.
