300 miles down -- 1,100 to go!!

I ran last night and this morning in my new kicks and they feel awesome! Any pain I had in my feet is gone. It's crazy how dropping a chunk of change like that can really be worth it sometimes! If only I could convince hubby that buying a cute pair of heels and matching purse would do the same for me!! :-)

I added an additional .2 onto my four mile run this morning, so that I have an even 304 for the year. I've been doing that a lot this year and it's really helped me rack of the miles. I've been adding .1 to make a 3 miler into a 5K or adding a another .2 or .5 onto my runs to make my weekly or monthly mileage an even number. It all really adds up after awhile.

I have now surpassed the 300 mile mark for the year!! WOOT WOOT!! Only 1,100 more to go to reach my goal (yikes!).

I have an 18 miler on tap for tomorrow. It snowed overnight. I am not brave to run in the cold, so I have a feeling I will be running three hours on my treadmill tomorrow morning ... wish me luck! I may need it. Hopefully there are some good chick flicks on the Lifetime Channel or some good reality tv on TLC!!

  1. Yay for the new shoes. Crazy though how fast they wear out, when your putting all those miles on 'em. :)

Great job on the milage, keep it up.

  3. It's funny how different we all are. I would run in the cold anytime to avoid 3 hours on the treadmill! It was warm and sunny here but that is supposed to be changing.

  4. God and can't imagine 3 hours on a treadmill. Try this: run one hour on the treadmill, then one hour outside, then back again. Diversity makes the time go by much faster. Good luck.

  5. Hi there. I just came across your blog. Way to go on the 300 miles! That is quite impressive. I too have a long run scheduled for this morning. It didn't snow here but it is only around 36 (feels like 27) but I'm going to give the outside run a whirl here in about 20 minutes anyway. This is my longeset training run so far (15). Keep up the grea work! You are awesome!!

  9. Great job on the 300 miles - that's amazing.

I'll be doing some of those long runs on the treadmill this summer when it's too hot in AZ to be outside running. I wish you all the luck in the world.
