Chobani Greek Yogurt Product Review & Giveaway

Earlier this fall I posted about my love for yogurt and new discover of the greek yogurts out there. I fell in love with Chobani. I tried several flavors that were available at my local Target and Copp's grocery stores.

Shortly after, I received a sweet email from Emily at Chobani (HERE). She came across my blog post and thanked me for trying out their 'gurts, and offered to send me some more flavors to try out ... and some directly to one of you, too!

Over 19,000 peeps like Chobani on Facebook (HERE). That should say something. Do you?!

My kids and I loooooove yogurt. I have 3-4 cartons a day. We typically have about 3-4 kinds of adult yogurt in the house and 1-2 kinds of children's yogurt. See my refrigerator?!?!

Chobani is different. It's creamy ... satisfying ... and filling. I mean, it has TWICE the amount of protein in other yogurts. It's great for breakfast, lunch, snacks, mixed with granola or fruit. Yum.

Because we eat so much yogurt, it can get quite expensive. I mean, I've seen Chobani sold for as high as $1.79 at my local grocery store. When you're stocking up on several cartons for the week, that can definitely get expensive. I tend to only purchase a few cartons (more if they are on sale) and treat myself only a few times during the week. I have seen it sold cheaply in bulk at Costco, when we were browsing; but, we don't have a membership.

Chobani is launching a line of kids greek yogurt in January 2011. My kids will be thrilled.

My favorite things is the texture and how it's so creamy. It feels like an indulgence. And, I savor every bite.

Some of the 6 oz containers are low-fat and some of them are fat-free. They tend to have more calories than the other yogurts out there. But, the fact that they are so satisfying off-sets the calorie count. My favorite is the Pomegranate fat-free yogurt. Others high on my list include: Honey Non-Fat, Strawberry Non-Fat, Pineapple 2% and Plain 2% (great with granola!).

About Chobani Greek Yogurt:

We make Chobani Greek Yogurt deep in the rolling hills of Upstate New York. Our expert team is committed to bringing you all-natural products that are not only the highest quality but also taste great too.

Here at Chobani, our secret isn't an ingredient but a passion and love for what we do…and a man who goes by the name of Mustafa.

Mustafa Dogan is Chobani’s Master Yogurt Maker. He’s an artisan armed with years of yogurt-making experience and is responsible for crafting the rich, deliciousness that is Chobani.
Mustafa custom blends special yogurt cultures just for Chobani. We add these to the milk that we receive daily from local farms to make yogurt. We then strain this yogurt to make it outrageously creamy and ridiculously high in protein.

This unique straining process is what makes Chobani Greek Yogurt “Greek” and full of flavor and health benefits:·

All natural.
No preservatives.
No artificial flavors.
No synthetic growth hormones: No rBST-treated milk.
Includes 5 live & active cultures, including 3 probiotics.· Made with real fruit. · Twice the protein of regular yogurts.

  31. This afternoon I was at a specialty grocery store called Fresh Market and saw this brand in the cooler. It looked interested but passed it up because of the cost and I was uncertain of how it would taste. Thanks for giving a review and give away for it. I printed a coupon from their website - that was very fab! I also think the strawberry or peach would be the flavors I'd try first.
