Two for Tuesday

If you have a creative side, you'll enjoy this installment of Two for Tuesday.

1 - Laura from Laura Elaine Designs just posted the album that she created for Amanda in my recent scrapbook giveaway. Check out the Disney Marathon Weekend album she made especially for Amanda HERE. And, then go order one of your own!!!

2- I really LOVE Kendra's blog from Domestic Princess in Training. If you love scrapbooking, decorating your home, thrift store finds or photography. You NEED to check out your blog. After looking over one of her recent posts, I asked her for input on cheap and unique teacher's gifts for the end of the school year. She delivered. Here are some ideas, if you are looking:

- Revamp a thrift store chalk board
- A copy of your favorite book, with a note telling her why you love it
- Gift basket with a movie or movie rental gift card, bottle of fun soda, candy and popcorn
- Makeover a thrift store picture frame with your child and include a teacher's quote

If you have any more ideas for
UNIQUE AND AFFORDABLE TEACHER'S GIFTS
... please send them my way ...

  1. those are great ideas! My daughter picked out one of her stuffed animals dressed her up and gave her to her teacher, as a lovey bear, for kids who might need a hug next year! It was pretty much her idea too which made it really cute!

  2. This year for teacher gifts we purchased tote bags at Michaels ($9.99 for a set of 3 and with a 40% off coupon it was about $6). Purchased a small bottle of fabric paint and had my daughter cover her palms with the paint and put her handprints in the middle of the bag. Then wrote " Best Teacher, Hands Down!" with the paint. Each bag ended up costing less than $3!

  5. Just a small "adjustment" to the gift basket with movie rental card, popcorn, soda and candy - it would be cute in a big popcorn bucket.

Personally, I always took the gift card route - it was the easiest!!!

  6. I'll say just a note telling what you appreciated that the teacher did is worth a lot!

  9. Great ideas. We usually do gift cards for coffee, or bookstores. Many times I wrap up greek seasoning that my friend's family makes and I wrap up with some great recipes.

I have a feeling my son's preschool teacher should have a give of alcohol for putting up with him all year. Just kidding.

  10. I cannot thank you enough for the scrapbook from Laura Elaine Designs...I cannot wait to see it in person. Laura has been so wonderful to work with and she created the cutest scrapbook for my WDW Marathon Weekend (Dopey Challenge) in 2011.

  11. Cute ideas! My mom used to make homemade caramel corn for the teachers. She'd put it in a fun little box.

  14. As a teacher....gift cards rock but I am a softy for hand-made things too! A scrapbook where each kid does a page about what they learned from their teacher...Or your child writes favorite memories from the year. I love those things...Make me cry every time!
