Flat course in Prairie du Chien? :) That sounds awesome. I bet it'll be gorgeous! I just had to smile because I've done races in Davenport, IA and Hannibal, MO, both Mississippi River towns, and they really make you work those bluffs!
ReplyDeleteHey Jamie - have you done this one before?
ReplyDeleteIf this is somewhere on your blog, please forgive me and point me in the direction... if not....
ReplyDeleteHow did you get started running and how did you build up to half and full marathons? I run, recreationally... I can't seem to move out of the 3-4 mile zone. I would love to push myself to a half marathon... help!
I am registered for Prairie, too! So psyched. It will be my first 1/2 this year. I did 3 last fall and am hoping to do 6 this year starting with Prairie. Would love to meet up with you there!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome race!
ReplyDeleteI've done Prairie Du Chien the past two years, but this year decided to change it up. (DOH!!)
ReplyDeleteThe course IS pretty flat...there's one main hill which is where the road goes up and over railroad tracks....there's a turn around at the bottom. Most of the course is pretty boring, unfortunately, but I've gotten to know the race director pretty well and she's an AWESOME lady!
Good luck!!
that sounds like a blast!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I am going to see how far away it is from me!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun race!
ReplyDeleteThat is the same day as the Lake Monona 20k ;-(
ReplyDeleteLooks like it will be a great race
