Running Laundry

I realize more and more how involved our kids our in our active lifestyle ... and I love it!! Little Dude (2 yrs) was helping me fold laundry this morning. As any other two year old, he has to comment on everything. Every item I fold, he has to state who's it is and what kind of article of clothing it is.

I giggled this morning when he didn't just say "mommy's shorts", but "mommys running shorts" (of course mine are the pink and girly ones vs daddy's!!). My favorite is that my two year old is smart enough to say "mommy's Bondi Band"!!

  3. Wow.. I wish my kids would help me with laundry! There is just so much of it in our house! That is just too cute- your running is inspiring them already!

  4. train them young to help with this kind of thing, and you'll be a hppy mommy... of course, I wasn't that smart, and now am a laundry slave... BUT at least they vacuum!

By the way, cute blog, I love that you put 'only marathon' next to your marathon PR... Seriously, I don't make that distinction - it's a MARATHON, finishing your first one is a PR!

And finally - so jealous that you're running Disney with TMB.

  6. Hey thanks for stopping by and checking out my ramblings =) I'll be at the Princess too! Only I'm not nearly as prepared as you at this point. I ran my first half at Disney in January and can't wait to go back but the two huge blizzards we got within the same week here in Baltimore=4 feet of standing snow on all sidewalks and shoulders. And I hate the treadhell. Don't know how you ran a full 13.1 on them! Awesome!

  8. Speaking of bondi bands . . . I need to get some . . . I think they would be great "little" gifts to give to friends. I might check out their site tonight. Enjoy folding laundry. ;-)

  9. Very cute! I have got to get one of those bondi bands. I must be the only person in bloggy running land not to have one.

  10. That's so cute. That's awesome you're getting them started young. Learning healthy habits from the beginning will be so great for them as they grow up.

  12. Nicole, Bondi Bands are my favorite running item. My husband even wears them now (never thought he would!). They stay put, keep sweat from dripping in my face too. Since I cut my hair off, it's been too short to put back and this helps keep everything in place. I also don't get the itch and soreness that a hat/visor use to give me. I love them. And they have so many cool paterns and sayings. Check them out at the Expo.
