Many of us use our Road ID (HERE) during every run ... to keep us safe. A simple glance at our wrist or shoe, in an emergency, can give by-standers and emergency technicians some helpful information about us and get them in touch with those close to us.
Did you know that Road ID also offers blinky lights? The Road ID Supernova (HERE) retails for $12.99. And, this is just another way that Road ID is keeping us ... and our families ... safe.
Road ID states taht the Supernova is one of the brightest, lightest, most durable security light in its class. Other lights just don't compare. You won't believe how bright this safety light is.
I secured my Supernova to my Road ID strap, around my wrist. But, its durable, plastic clip enables you to securely attach it to your waistband, belt or even your shirt collar. You can be seen up to a mile away. It has two light modes ... steady and flashing. It was super bright and super secure, just like the website states. It wasn't annoying on my wrist or clothing. It was secure, didn't move or need adjustments.
The Supernova is available in four colors: Red, Blue, Green and Clear. Batteries are included. It is also waterproof.
Size: 1.625" x 1.25" (41mm x 32mm)
Weight: 0.7 oz (20g)
These are perfect for Fall, now that our evening hours are getting shorter. And, many runners are running at dusk or in the dark. These would also be perfect for overnight endurance runs and relays, such as Ragnar Relay. Snap them on your kids, for night time play and family bike rides at dusk. Add it to your bike, your kid's scooter or your pooch's collar.
You can also purchase the Supernova with Wrist Attachment (HERE) for $16.99. This will fit you, just like your regular, comfortable Road ID.

ReplyDeleteI think what's fabulous about and RoadID product is that my parents can feel safer while I am out training.
ReplyDeleteI think any of the Road ID identification bands are fabulous - it's one of the top things I suggest to my students when I coach running classes.
ReplyDeleteFollower- thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have a Road ID- it's fabulous in itself, but the fact that you can get replacement ID parts is great, since I'm married to an active-duty member of the Air Force, so moving is likely.

ReplyDeleteI really love how dedicated to safety road ID is. Since I know I will be working long days in the weeks leading up to the MCM, a lot of my runs will be late-ish. Part of my run requires me to run on the shoulder of a fairly busy road to get to a side walk and I need all the help I can get to stand out. I love that these lights can be seen from a mile away. I've been hesitant about buying other lights because I'm afraid that 50mph drivers won't see me with enough time to avoid me if they aren't paying attention. And I don't know how many times I've been almost run over running through an intersection way before a car even gets to the stop sign and just rolls right through the stop sign and almost hitting me.

ReplyDeleteActually (is this cheating?) I think the Road light is pretty fabulous. I run in the wee hours of the early morning - dark! - and I think this is a great idea. I already do the reflective-vest, but I need to add one of these lights.
ReplyDeleteI am also a RoadID FB fan too :-)

I love how road ID has so many products and comes in a lot of sizes. I'm pretty small so usually I have to get small or kids sized bracelets, and I'm glad they offer that.
