Introducing the new Ahnu Jackie from Ahnu Footwear (HERE).  The line from Ahnu was developed by Jenny Fredericks and Jacqueline Van Dine - friends, mothers, athletes and industry veterans who share a work hard/play hard philosophy. I received a pair in bright chartreuse in a size 10.  They are also available in grenadine and majolica blue.

I was a little skeptical about how versatile these shoes were, but they were great for taking the kids on walk and for playing at the park.  I haven't tried them for hiking or on dirt or gravel trails, but I have a feeling that they would hold up well.  I wasn't sure if they would stay on my heels well, but they didn't move or bounce (something that I often struggle with slip-ons).  They were perfect for running errands around town and for playing outside.  I wore them several times without socks and they were comfy, as I led up to the final days before my marathon, and I was babying my feet.  My feet stayed dry and I didn't experience a lot of sweating, like I often do without socks.  I also love the bright color and the honeycomb fabric ... very easy to wash up after a hike or trip to the park.
