Goals for 2011

Last year, I accomplished several of the goals I set for myself on January 1. There were seventeen items on my list and I was able to cross twelve of them off by December 31. Not too shabby.

2011 is a whole different kind of a year … a year for me to discover myself as an adult … to meet new people … to try new things … to set higher goals for myself … to make a great life for me, Little Diva and Little Dude … and to have tons of fun in the process ...

I have NEVER looked sooo forward to the New Year.

Goals for 2011:
Do something special with each of my kids (separately) each month
Expose my kids to one new food every month
Finally get Little Dude fully potty trained
Start some new traditions with my children
Hang out more with friends
Run 1,500 miles
Run over 100 miles every month
Run one full marathon and four half marathons
Lose five more pounds (already lost 12 with the “divorce diet”!)
Work on my upper body and arms
Come out of this situation financially fresh and be more financially responsible
Read four (non childrens!) books
Start a food diary again
Limit my Diet Mountain Dew intake to two cans per day
Meet ten new bloggers, in person
Spectate more races

Try something new … bucket list for 2011:
Participate in a running group
Downhill skiing
Rock climbing
Boating
Camping
Sign up for a new exercise class at the gym
Visit a beer tent
Date (for the first time in my life)

I hope that 2011 brings a lot of fun,
new experiences for all three of us along the way.

I also look forward to continuing
to do the things that I love ...
with the people I love ...

There will be LOTS AND LOTS of SMILES
along the way, too ...

Thank you for following my journey!

  30. Great goals. Divorce is horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anybody, but I think the only way to survive it (and thrive afterward) is to do just what you're doing - look to the future and make your life the life you always dreamed of. You CAN have what you want, if you're willing to work for it, and clearly you are. Keep up the great work!
