I also only logged two longish runs of twelve miles this month. School is out and I run with both kids with me on my days off now. My weight is up. I had no races scheduled during the month of June and had no real plan for getting in my miles. This proves to me that I need races on the horizon, a routine and to be scheduled.
Today is the start of a new month and I'd like to get up around 150 miles again in July.
June: 101.8
May: 163.9
April: 145.2
March: 115.9
February: 116.7
January: 132.5
Total for 2010: 776.0
Miles 'til 1,400 mileage goal: 624.0
Total Rest Days in June: 8 days
Long Runs in June: two 12 milers
How many miles did
you log in June??
I was very excited when I added up my miles and I was over 100 for the first time...woohoo!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll get your mileage back up this month. And that 1400 mile goal is in the bag! I am about to head into big mileage with marathon training, fun stuff coming up!
ReplyDeleteNot many -- but I was just excited to get back to running starting mid-June after recovering from my stress fracture! Taking it slow, but happy to be hitting the road again. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, love the Little Diva pics on her bike! Looks like you got yourself a new partner.
I'm too embarrassed to total mine. It's probably less than 60.
ReplyDeletehey ur still over 100. thats pretty good in my book.
ReplyDeleteand today is a new month and i have a feeling you will do awesome! i predict 154.2
As I look back at the time I spent on the treadmill, I only logged about 10 miles in June, so you mileage seems quite awesome to me, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI'm a complete newbie.
I love the idea of setting a target goal each month. I think I'll strive for a goal of 20 miles for July. I only go about 1-2 miles at a time. ;)

xo
42 miles for June! I am happy with that since I also had my big race (half marathon) the last weekend of May and took some time off too.
ReplyDeleteYou are well on your way to your 1400, keep it up!! :)
I don't even know. I haven't been good about tracking. I need to.
ReplyDeleteInjured in June, so minimal miles. Tri coming up in September, so hoping to ramp back up. Great first half of the year - negative splitting your 2010 goal!
ReplyDeleteI haven't run since March due to an injury. I would love to run just a tiny fraction of what you ran this month!
ReplyDeleteGreat running! June actually has been my best month this year...due to injury my time on roads has been low but I notched about 70 miles! You will make 1400 easy!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny... I had a low mnth in June as well. Must be a busy time of year! :)
ReplyDelete93 for June. Starting marathon training the end of July so I know my numbers will pick up at that point! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteHey
ReplyDeleteThanks for comment and stopping by my blog! My mileage is no where close to yours :), I'm the slow kind and oh yeah injury prone so have to be pretty careful. Hoping the trail runs will be good thing for me. I'm looking forward to reading your adventures. And congrats on your first Marathon!! and here's to many more :)
100+ miles is nothing to be unhappy about. That's a lot of running on top of everything else life dishes out.
ReplyDeleteRaces do help keep running a priority but sometimes life and family win out in the time managment game. Here's hoping July provides you with the balance you are looking for!
WOW!! 100 plus miles every month this year. That is BIG!! You should be proud. Make your plan for this month and you will make that goal of 150. I had my biggest month this month and that was 115. I really wanted 120 but am happy with the 115. Next month I WILL make my 120 goal and I am extremly motivated by your goals. You all just amaze me.
ReplyDeleteI had my lowest month too -- that's okay though...it was really busy! Great job with all of your miles!
ReplyDeleteI logged 50 miles and not a step more. I blame it on the weather - it has been stifling hot and humid here and treadmill runs just aren't interesting.
ReplyDeleteSo, your mileage seems really awesome! :)
I only ran 36 miles this month. I'm going to write my calendar for July right now :-)
ReplyDeleteI only wish I could match your mileage. I tend to run somewhere between 60 - 70 miles per month (I only run 3 days a week). But, I also do some biking, so maybe those miles could count, too? Nah, probably not...
ReplyDeleteYou still were over 100 miles for the month- pretty good considering you had 8 rest days!
ReplyDeleteHi thanks for stopping by my blog.Holy Cats!!! My mileage was terrible for June.
ReplyDeleteYou still did over 100 and that's impressive. So Join us in a Team Voice July monthly mileage challenge.
Are you going to be doing the Wine and Dine in October??
http://virtualvoiceevents.blogspot.com/ Here is the link.Oh yeah join me on twitter.@runnerrae and @theteamvoice.
Have s great weekend!
I see you have a Ironman !!! I got a DNF this past May. Freak during the swim. Adding you to my roll!!!
Over 100 is amazing in my book. I probably logged around 45, which for me is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you log miles? Is there a preferred online tracker or just on your own?
ReplyDeleteYou are doing awesome...but, really, is that a trick question?...lol
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have found your blog. I too live in Wisconsin so it's nice to find someone who can relate to our changing weather! Love your blog!

I've been thinking a lot lately about setting some distance goals, so this post is a good push. For all of you worried about a slow month, don't sweat it. I will put my 26 miles on the record and let you all beat me!
ReplyDelete276.3 miles logged last month--although over 200 was on the bike and only 55.3 on foot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog, I think yours is pretty sweet.
I really like the leopard print, several friends of mine got together to wear leopard print at the Disney marathon and half last January for some extra fun.
I am BURNT OUT!! I am guessing that my july will be Low low miles... hope I can get my fire back ASAP
ReplyDeleteI didn't log as many running miles as you that's for sure. I would love to get up to 100 miles in the month, but I'm finding that difficult.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another great month (you are not allowed to say 100 miles in a month isn't enought)!!
