Rae Cosmetics Product Review & Giveaway

I recently discovered Rae Cosmetics (HERE) and their line of facial products and makeup. I LOVE my makeup (rarely leave the house or go for a run without it). It's hard to find something that lasts all day at work and during a long race or workout. I receive a lot of inquiries regarding what I wear. I actually typically wear Cover Girl products from the local drug store (believe it!). The black eyeliner and waterproof mascara typically stay in place (even during a marathon!).

I was looking forward to trying a new look from Rae Cosmetics. Something fresh, and perhaps not as BOLD for summer.

Rae Cosmetics is a fresh and versatile cosmetics line ideal for everyday performance during exercise, travel or for those that simply lead a busy lifestyle (perfect for busy moms and marathon runners!). Rae has quickly become a favorite line amongst active women and athletes looking for performance as well as beauty from their cosmetics.

Inspired by minerals and pigments that exist in nature, Rae cosmetics were designed to work with all skin tones and types. A micro-crushed blend of clinical-grade nutrients, antioxidants and non-chemical sunscreens nourish the skin and guard against dangerous sunrays. Keeping your skin healthy and protected.

The oil free lighter-than-air mineral formulas allow skin to breathe freely and function normally, as if wearing nothing at all. Light feeling and natural looking, skin looks fresh, clear and incredibly vibrant.

I'm also interested in trying out their Makeup Wipes (HERE) which retail for $15. These would be perfect for getting rid of post-run sweat and dried up salt on your face. A sweaty betty like me, finds it difficult to prevent acne. These wipes would be a really easy and portable way to keep my face clean and acne-free. Moist, refreshing towelettes are a quick, convenient way to cleanse and hydrate the skin. Oversized wipes are made of luxurious, durable fabric that won't fall apart and saturated with a mild, hypoallergenic cleanser that does not require rinsing. The resealable lid keeps the wipes fresh, ready to use, and portable.

My staples are my black eyeliner and my black mascara. I was excited that Rae sent mei their Lush Silk Mascara in Onyx (HERE) - Retails for $17

The silk powder and protein-rich formula builds strong flexible threads for long lush lashes. The water-binding properties in silk make it water-resistant, smudge-resistant and fast drying but more gentle than water-proof. Infused with chamomile, juniper and protective anti-oxidants vitamins A, C and E. The hollow-fiber brush lifts and separates each lash, no clumping for a long and natural look.

The mascara didn't smudge when I worked out or when I blinked. My lashes are long and with some brands, my mascara tends to rub off below my eyes or upper lids. It did not with Rae. I liked the color of the Onyx (I prefer DARK). I really liked the brush and the application of it. It just didn't seem to get is think on my lashes as I would like. I prefer a "faux lash" look. It was a nice, less-dramatic option for me.

I also LOVE lipgloss (and so does Little Diva). The Lucky Lips Lip Gloss in Rowdy (HERE) was a perfect color for summer. Retails for $18. I

Their lip glosses are available in ten hot and trendy colors. The Rowdy color looked a lot more pink online. It looked more red in the package. When applied, it looked even lighter. It gave me some nice color for summer, but wasn't overly dramatic for day wear or out on a run. I also liked the shine, and it didn't make my lips overly sparkly like some others I've tried (that are more marketed towards teenagers).
