I Like Book Product Review & Giveaway

I was recently introduced to the I Like Book (HERE) by another blogger. I initially thought it was a journal for children to record their likes ... but I was wrong. It's a journal for the PARENTS! A way for parents to communicate with their children via journal entries about what they adore about their children.

They also sell a cute I Like Book for Couples (HERE). What a great anniversary gift idea or surprise for Valentine's Day.

The I Like Book is sold in green, pink, red, blue, orange, and purple. Each book retails for $19.95 and a FANTASTIC INVESTMENT in your relationship with your child. Like the cover reads, "CAUTION: This book creates fantastic relationships!".

The kids helped me write their names and entry message of the book ... but, the rest is up to me. Mom, mommy, mother, supermom. I get to write one (or in my case, two if I choose!) message to each of my kids every single day. I get to bring a smile to their faces, just because of something I wrote.

The book is divided into sections by month, and then by days. Mom and dad (or guardian) are each able to write an entry every day about what they like about their child. Since I'm a single mommy ... I get to write two entries every day if I want! In my situation, it's been fun to write entries while the kids are away with their dad. They were eager to come home and see several messages that I left for them. It reminds them that I'm thinking of them, even when they aren't physically with me.

There are also spots for the kids to doodle, as they read through the journal entries and ways they can personalize it. There are spots to include photos of your child or of you with your child doing things you enjoy together. I look forward to incorporating these books ... for each of my children ... into our daily routine.

These books build children up with praise, self-confidence and indivdual attention from their parents. In our fast-paced world, it's easy to forget the little things. And, I'm realizing it only takes a moment to write a thought down and the benefits are endless. I keep finding Little Diva peeking at her pink book often, to see if I've written anything new!!

These books would make great stocking stuffers or holiday gifts. Why not start a new book every year, so that your child can have an entire collection to reflect on in their teen years?
